River
Rafting in India & Rishikesh
The
Indian sub-continent perhaps had the largest network of rivers
in the world. The northern rivers with their origins in the
lofty Himalayas provide an exciting adventure for the white
water enthusiasts. These rivers race, surge, whirl, froth
and crash over and around boulders, as though rushing to get
to the freedom of the Great Plains, rejoicing in their escape
from captivity of the mountains.
Of
all the rivers, Ganga is the most beautiful river. The mighty
Ganges originates from Gaumukh in Garhwal region of the Himalayas.
It is a superb river for inflatable rafts. Rafting on its
water of wisdom is certainly an unusual experience. To ride
these rapids and to come to terms with their strength and
wildness is to grow in spirit and to nurture the very stuff
that dreams are made of.

while we attend to all other aspects.
Tips
for River Rafting
1)
You should carry your small items in boxes so that it not
replaced.
2) You should carry a first aid box with you and necessary
medications such as bee-sting kits, insulin, inhalers, etc.
3) Avoid carrying small items like cell phones, wallets and
car keys.
4) You should also carry sunglasses with strap so that it
doesn't fall and to protect your eyes from ultra violet rays
and sunscreen to protect your skin. Disposable waterproof
cameras are easily available, easy to take along with you
and take good quality pictures.
5) Rafting clothes you should carry during summer are nylon
shorts, simple swimsuit, sport shoes or sandals, and a hat.
During spring and autumn you require some additional clothing.
Don't wear cotton cloths while rafting, except in summers
as cotton takes away the warmth from your body. Materials
like wool, polyester, nylon and other synthetic materials
will keep you warmer and will dry faster than cotton.
